Swim Swansea is pleased to announce that in conjunction with the ASA and the City and County of Swansea Learn to Swim Scheme, Swim Swansea will be introducing SWIM SKILLS from April 2010.
Swimmers who have achieved Stage 7 of the ASA National Plan award scheme will be able to join Swim Swansea’s SWIM SKILLS in April 2010 and work towards the last three stages of the plan (Stages 8, 9 and 10).
Swimmers who attend SWIM SKILLS 1 will be able to swim twice a week-
Friday 5.30-6.30pm PENLAN
Sunday 5-6pm NATIONAL POOL
Training fees for SWIM SKILLS 1 will be £18 per month, payable by standing order. The monthly training fee is in addition to the Swim Wales/ Swim Swansea annual membership fee of £50.

Swim Swansea is pleased to announce exciting changes to it’s Development Programme in April 2010. In line with ASA recommendations and the City and County of Swansea Learn to Swim Scheme, Swim Swansea will be introducing “SWIM SKILLS” in April 2010, (start of new Swim Wales membership year).
What is SWIM SKILLS? SWIM SKILLS will be squads within Swim Swansea where swimmers can work towards Stages 8, 9 and 10 of the ASA National Plan award scheme.
SWIM SKILLS 1 AND SWIM SKILLS 2 will replace the existing Fundamentals 1 and Fundamentals 2 squads.
In the coming weeks your child/children will be assessed in accordance with the ASA National Plan Awards and will then be invited to join either SWIM SKILLS 1 or SWIM SKILLS 2 squads.
SWIM SKILLS TRAINING TIMES ARE:-

From April 2010 the training fee for both SWIM SKILLS squads will be paid on a monthly basis by standing order. Unfortunately, swimmers who accept the invitation to join SWIM SKILLS will no longer be able to pay a weekly fee. If you would prefer your child to only swim once a week then there is a Swim Swansea weekly session available at Penyrheol Leisure Centre. The session is on Wednesdays, 6.30-7.30pm where swimmers can pay £3 per session.
Swimmers who chose to join the SWIM SKILLS will be working towards Stages 8, 9 and 10 of the ASA National Plan Award Scheme. Swimmers will be assessed at regular intervals and will still be able to “move up” and progress within the Swim Swansea Club structure. Each swimmer will have an individual assessment sheet indicating their progress and swimmers will be able to work towards the next award in the series.
