Age Groups – Age will be taken from the last date of the National Age group Championships (1 Aug)

This group is the 1st squad on the performance pathway and is  for swimmers who are striving to reach the National Squad and National Level Swimming. Every swimmer going in to the performance squads should have the aim of eventually reaching the National Squad.

Movement into this squad will be based around the swimmers technical ability in all strokes plus their skill level – Underwater skills, sculling

Swimmers will be informed by the squad coach how many sessions are required

Training and technical Criteria: Technique and Skill will be the most important part of the training program for this squad; you must have great technique and skill if you want to move forward in the program:

Entry into this squad will be at the discretion of the Head Coach

Swimmers may be invited in this squad who have not achieved the criteria, this is at the Head Coaches discretion
