New Time Table and Structure

Dear swimmers and Parents.
I am please to inform you that as of Monday 6th May 2013 the new Swim Swansea Squad Structure and Time Table will commence. The structure is a very exciting development in the clubs Long Term Progression. It offers more opportunities ranging from better pool allocation, better swimmer – coach ratios and a clear developmental pathway for all swimming in Swansea.
We have added 2 new squads to the structure
Youth Development and National Age
The Youth Development squad will be aimed at swimmers that have achieved a Easter Welsh National time and that can fulfil the attendance criteria set out at the start of the season for Comp 3. National Potential will be split into National Potential and National Age
All squad places throughout the program have been allocated based on each swimmers individual needs,trainability and attendance over the last 3 months.
There will be a few changes in the Competitive Development Pathway. Comp 1 will become the clubs social squad, no current swimmer within the competitive Development pathway will be in Comp1 / Social Squad
.All swimmers that are currently in the competitive Development pathway will be in either Comp 2, Comp3 or Youth Development.
All Swimmers in the Competitive Development Pathway will be receiving letters from their coach saying which squads they have been allocated to.
I have listed coaches names for each squad on the time table although we will continue to bring coaches into the program that can offer different coaching styles and experience to the swimmers
I hope you all embrace the new structure and can see that it is a fantastic opportunity for swimming in Swansea

Please check entries for:-
- Miss spelt names
- Incorrect date of births
- Club Name
- Events Entered
- Scratches (SCR) and Alternates (ALT) – will be indicated against each swim.
If there are ANY problems with any of the above please contact Richard Owen as soon as possible.
NB: Just a quick reminder to those clubs that have not yet applied for pool passes should do so as soon as they can so that their meet packs may be ready for them on arrival.

Loung Course – Confirmed Entries Available

The Swim Swansea Long Course Confirmed Entries are now available.
THE 800 AND 1500 EVENTS WILL BE HDW ON FRIDAY EVENING. THE MEET PACK SHOWS FINALS FOR THESE EVENTS ON THE SATURDAY EVENING SESSION – THIS IS A MISTAKE. ALL 800 AND 1500 EVENTS WILL BE SWAM ON FRIDAY EVENING ONLY
Please check the scheduled events page for your clubs information as well as a copy of session times.
Unfortunately due to a large take up this year we have had to scratch a few entries. These are limited and where possible the swimmers will be put down as alternates in the event that an empty lane becomes available.
Please ensure that you check your entries for any problems and particularly for the Scratches and Alternates which will be labeled SCR and ALT respectively.

Swim Swansea Mini Meet Series 2013
Round 2 – Saturday 15th June
A change has been made to the original meet pack. Swimmers can either pay £40 for all events covering both weekends or you can pay £4.00 per event. There are 6 events each weekend so its cheaper to pay the £40, but if you dont want to swim all events you can pay £4.00 per event.
